easy to set up and use2/7/2016 7:12:16 PM
Pros: -Plug and play type of screen, easy set up
-not too heavy
Cons: -good for the office but obviously not good for anything graphic intensive... quality is you get what you pay for
-wouldn't buy it for more than 100 bucks. "OK" screen not worth it if you're a gamer or something .. u should invest in something better..
Overall Review: wouldn't buy it again for the office... probably would look around for something cheaper...
Excellent basic monitor for the price7/4/2015 6:47:58 PM
Pros: No dead pixels out of the box. Setup menus are straightforward and easy to use. Picture quality is good. Has VESA screw holes so you can mount it to a wall stand or monitor arm if you want to.
Power supply is integrated into the monitor so there is no bulky external power brick, which is nice.
Cons: Only has one input: VGA.
I knew this before buying though, and as it was purchased alongside a refurbished PC for a family member it's not a big deal at all.
Resolution is rather low but again, I knew what I was buying and the monitor works and has all the features I expected, so I'm not deducting any eggs here.
If you want a super high resolution monitor with every type of input under the sun, keep shopping.
Viewing angles are not so great though, if you are viewing from the side or above the monitor it looks a tad washed out.
Pros: Clarity, Resolution, no missing or dead pixels. Beautifull high def picture. The price was fantastic and I've really loved having these monitors.
Looks good but viewing angle not correct6/7/2015 12:48:39 PM
Pros: Monitor looks and performs fine
Cons: I bought this for a security camera system, you can't view this monitor walking around a room. You pretty much need to be right in front of it (narrow angle) before you can see the picture good. So fine for a desk where your head in relation to it is always in the same spot, not so good if you want to view it from different locations.
Pros: There are a few things which aren't readily available on a 18.5" screen or any of these little screens anyhow. It's 1920x1080. Most all of these are less, sometimes a lot less, so watch out. The problem is this set only takes a VGA input. If you have vga, you're home free. I have a new Dell laptop and the only output is HDMI. I tried several HDMI to VGA converters. The ones that cost less than $5.00 would not convert the HDMI to VGA. (Theres a problem going from digital to analog). I finally found a conversaion cable at $29.00 that worked, but initially would only give me 1600x1080. I had to go into the monitor set up and check the box that allows you to access all of the different resolutions. 1920x1080 was in there, I checked it and we've been clocking along just fine ever since.
Cons: None really, came with a VGA cable. I wanted to go from HDMI to VGA. The color set up really nicely also.
Overall Review: It would have been nice to know about the HDMI to VGA conversion problems. Maybe have the correct one listed as extra stuff you might want to buy, along with a caveatte that says, watch out you can't just convert digital to analog with out putting a few dollars down.
Pros: Works well, really bright and has a color scheme that is adjustable, so just make it something you're comfortable with. Very light and does what it the specs say.
Cons: Need to buy an adapter for newer Graphics cards, make sure if you're buying a DVI-D adapter if you want to use the dvi port, DVI-I does not work
Pros: -Plug and play type of screen, easy set up -not too heavy
Cons: -good for the office but obviously not good for anything graphic intensive... quality is you get what you pay for -wouldn't buy it for more than 100 bucks. "OK" screen not worth it if you're a gamer or something .. u should invest in something better..
