I have a 7 year old special needs daughter in a wheel chair with limited hand function.  (rett syndrome).  Cousins and siblings play with  nerf guns  a lot and she would like to be included.  I was looking for a product we could attach to her wheelchair tray and possibly activate by one of her switches.  This product is as close as I could come to something that might work. Are there any local stores that carry it I could investigate more?    Is there a way to see what the screen will look like for her to activate the device? Thanks.

I think that's a better idea than the one which inspired the invention. I don't have one of these launchers, and can't answer your question very effectively because the terms of service say: "Do not include HTML, links, references to other stores, pricing, or contact info." but since nobody else has answered yet, and somebody should, I'll make a stab at it:

The manufacturer's website has a list of retailers, some of which might be local in your area. The device is operated via a free iOS app called 'iLaunch Controller', which you might downloading. There are a couple reviews of it on YouTube and elsewhere which might let you see the interface. There also seems to be another (Green\Black) version of this launcher floating around which works with Windows. This one doesn't say it works with windows, but I can't see what is in their website's 'download' section without registering there.

I don't know what your options are, or if this device will work for her. Some of the older devices had pretty lousy range in the demos. If you think she'd like it but are concerned that the interface might be too difficult for her to operate, there may be other ways to interact with it, such as a Bluetooth keyboard for example. If her wheelchair switches are able to interact with a PC at all, it probably wouldn't be too difficult to set up some macros\auto-it scripts to let her control the launcher with her wheelchair switches.

Worst case scenario, you could (convince a geek to) make an Arduino board for her chair to let it control the launcher directly, like you said. I don't know what that entails, but there's always a way to make these things work, it's just whether or not you find a more practical solution in the mean time. Anyway, I hope something I said will be useful to the two of you. Either way, good luck in your search.
