Pros: I just got this enclose today and I will say that it’s nice, compact and portable. The built in cable makes it a nice grab and go storage unit.
Cons: When I plugged in the eSata cable my laptop was reading it just fine but it was hanging up in the middle of large files. After hours of looking for a solution to this issue I discovered that this is a very common thing. The problem is that there is an issue with the speed of date transfer of 3Gbps so after hours of roaming the internet I found that you have to set the hard drive’s jumpers to run on 1.5Gbps. I did it and it WORKS!!!! What a pain.
Overall Review: It might not run at 3Gbps like it states but 1.5Gbps is better than USB 2.0 any day. If you want it as an USB drive then this is the way to go. As for eSata II 3.Gbps no way but for eSata I at 1.5Gbps then its ight...
