What are the dimensions of the case when the screen is up?

the base is an octagon, its roughly 3" from any one side to the other. Its hard to get an accurate measurement as I have it mounted but it is roughly 3"h x 3"w and then the length of the base is in the product description.

Is the case black or white? The description says "MaxWhite" but the pics show black.

The case is black and the screen backdrop is black. The screen itself is white.
