There isn't a clear picture of the inside. I can see from the reviews, no one mentioned using it with a 2.5" drive. Would it require anothe adapter to effectively hold a 2.5" SSD? Thanks in advance :)

You'll need a tray/adapter that has a provision for a 2.5" device on the inside and presents a SATA plug on the outside just like a 3.5" drive. I use the metallic ones made by ICY DOCK MB482SP-3B
