Untrustworthy 6/19/2017 11:04:18 AM

Pros: Worked OK ... for a while

Cons: I bought 2 - one died about 2 months in, one died about 8 months in and killed the MB and video card it was attached to as well.

Overall Review: I will never even LOOK at this model of power supply again, and I don't intend to look at Enermax products again after the unacceptable failure rate on these power supplies.

Good budget friendly PSU choice 4/24/2015 11:53:26 AM

Pros: Plugged it in with a PSU tester and ran it for over an hour out of the box. Ran near silent, and no weird smells.

Used in a budget build with a Celeron CPU, 4GB RAM, 120GB SSD. PSU has plenty of power left to spare, and after a year, customer tells me PC is still running great.

Cons: none

Overall Review: good amount of connections for such a small wattage PSU

Exploded 11/13/2014 9:36:11 PM

Pros: It was cheap?

Cons: Not quite 15 months after purchase, it just lit itself up like fireworks. A series of earsplitting sparks and then thankfully it died, as it filled the room with toxic smoke. I feel like I'll be lucky if any of my components still function once I get a new supply. I think I'll stick to Antec now.

Looking through the grille, I can't see anything that looks obviously wrong. The explosion was preceeded by a few minutes of a faint electrical burning smell I couldn't locate, and before that maybe a month of faint humming I couldn't locate.

Overall Review: Purchased Aug 2013 to replace a 7 year old Antec that finally gave out (gently, just turned itself off). Bought this model because I needed a replacement immediately, it had seemingly good reviews, and there was a rebate.

Great Value, very reliable 7/9/2014 7:12:56 AM

Pros: I popped this psu in for my rosewill psu that stopped working and this thing worked great until my RMA came back.

Cons: non modular, so the cables get everywhere.

Died During Power Up 4/15/2014 2:00:54 PM

Pros: It worked well for a little over 3 months.
System:
MSI CSM-B75MA-P45 mobo
i7-3770 CPU
GeForce GTS 450
1 SSD and 1 storage HD

Cons: It died after 3 months.

Overall Review: I built a new PC for work and I leave it on 24/7 for remote access. One weekend our building was doing some work where the electricity was going to be shut off so I went in early to shut off all the computers. That afternoon I went back in to turn on the computers and when I tried to start mine the power supply let out a loud pop and a little smoke. Luckily after replacing the P.S. the computer is running fine but I'm dismayed by this as I used to be an Enermax fan.
