This product is described as "wireless" and yet comes with both an ethernet cable and AC power supply.  What does wireless mean in this situation?  I'm guessing that you can send the video wirelessly,but still require an AC power source.  The price point is attractive, but the Netgear Arlo system is truly wireless - battery operated and links in to home router.

You must use the AC power supply to power the camera.  The wireless refers to the wifi option - you can either use an ethernet cable or wifi to transmit the video.  The field of view is a bigger problem for me with this camera - it is too narrow.   There are clearly better cameras out there than this.

Can this function outdoors/weatherproof/waterproof or is this for inside use only?

mine has been outside for 4 months and works fine. It is under an eve so it really doesn't get wet though. The unit seems pretty waterproof but I can not say for sure.

Per manual there is FTP for uploading images from camera to server but I haven't tried it. The best way is read the user manual to see if that is what you want.

No - only iOS and Android. At least that's what their website states.

Not sure why you would need Apple drivers; to do what? Configuring the webcam is done through a browser so no drivers needed. It's been quite some time since I set this up but I think it needs the latest version of either Java or Flash player in order to configure the camera as well as use your computer as a monitor. And I used a Mac to set up the camera.
