Technical Specifications
Does this support 10G SFP+ modules?
No, this converter supports 100FX and 1000Base-X SFP modules only (up to 1.25Gbps). SFP+ modules are not compatible. SFP modules are sold separately.
What's included in the package?
2 media converters, 2 power adapters, and 1 user manual. SFP modules are not included and must be purchased separately (you will need 2 compatible SFP modules).
Do I need to buy SFP modules separately?
Yes, SFP modules are not included. You will need to purchase two compatible SFP modules (100FX or 1000Base-X, up to 1.25Gbps) based on your fiber type and distance needs. For a complete link, we recommend purchasing a pre-paired BiDi SFP module set.
Is this plug-and-play? Do I need software?
Yes, it's completely plug-and-play. No software, no drivers, no configuration needed. Just insert your SFP modules, connect the fiber cable between the two converters, connect your devices, and power on.
Can I use just one converter instead of both?
Yes, each converter works independently. You can use one converter with another compatible fiber device, or use both as a complete pair.
