How thick is this spacer? What material?

plastic (except the bolts). It is roughly 3/4 inch thick (counting 4 little bumps which didn't match anything on the back of my monitor), or 5/8 inch (not counting the bumps). WIth the bumps, the bolts aren't long enough, so it ended up not working for me.
