EVGA 512-P2-N775-AR GeForce 8600GTS 512MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Pros: 512 MB GDDR3 mem, core clock of 706MHz, DirectX 10. This card handles everything I throw at it so far on all settings maxed out: Stalker, Bioshock, UT3 demo, Battlefield 2142 going to buy another soon and SLI them but as it stands now I don't need to.

Cons: None at all!

Overall Review: This card is Way cheaper than its big brother and if you ask me it works just fine for any game you can throw at it right now. Very pleased with this purchase.

Pros: Fantastic card for the price. Got a free copy of Quake Wars to boot. Worth the extra few $ to get the faster clock speed as well. No lag any of the newest games including Perseus Mandate. Power consumption is modest and only requires a molex connection. Is not bulky in a mid-tower and does not heat up at all. Will buy second one.

Cons: Has not given me any trouble.

Overall Review: Would rather SLI two of these together and still wind up spending less than one 768mb card to do the same thing.

Pros: 2 of these in SLI and Flight Simulator 9 is OWNED!! FSX still a little jittery with all settings on Ultra-High when flying around big cities with alot of weather and clouds. I just put weather on low and everything else Ultra-High and 20 fps-no problem!!

Overall Review: I think the 512 ram helps out with the games. In any case I've never been able to run WoW or EQ2 on high settings until I got this card (of course I did also do a complete PC purchase along with it, sure that helped a tad too ;)

Pros: 512mb, Superclocked, Crysis looks awesome with this card. EZ install no problems at all. Not a thick card like some others leaves plenty of room in the case.

Overall Review: going to buy a second one and SLI them!!

Pros: I got the first card with a molex and later got another for SLI, and it now comes with a 6 pin PCI-E connector, which is better, especially since I had no more molex plugs. Everything I order from Newegg always arrives in record time and at the best prices too.

Cons: Runs warm and fan(s) does get very noisy at high RPM, which uses more power too. If the case is well cooled, the fans stay at low rpm and quiet. I recommend a quiet 110v external side cover fan to save PSU load and cut heat. the v card (and case) runs 10-15C cooler with no fan speed noise and saves PSU. Or just take the side cover off and set a quiet deskfan aimed at the MOBO.

Overall Review: I have since "upgraded" to an 8800GT, and the single 8800 is definitely better than two 8600 OC's in SLI. But still, this video card alone plays just about everything pretty well with good FPS, SLI will get you about 15% more FPS 50-80 in BF2142, and more steady play. But in reality, the one 8800 is better than two 8600's so therefore it is less expensive and you get more. UNLESS On a budget, the above single 8600 512 OC will play anything pretty well and I was very happy with the one 8600 card. Then I got SLI fever. SLI did not get much more and then I realized I coulda had an 8800 from the start for less. So I got two 8600's and an 8800 for lots more than if I had been thinking rationally.

Pros: I bought this for an all around video card and moderate gaming use. It plays BF2142 at 50-80fps with an AMD 5000+ and 2GB PC6400 RAM. Also works great with Supreme Commander and Blender 3D. Fan is very quiet, although I'm not sure if it is running as fast as it could/should. Card is thin, takes up one slot. Came with a PCIe power connector instead of the Molex one shown in the picture. This was a pro for me. Overall a nice card for the price but it runs hot. It is especially nice if you get a rebate.

Cons: Runs really hot. The heat sink gets very hot to the touch under moderate and heavy load. It seems that the fan is not running as fast as it should/could. Third party software says that that the GPU core is 60C at idle. This may be normal, I'm just not used to such heat in a graphics card. I had a 7300 GS before this.

Overall Review: As with the last few orders from NewEgg, the packaging was not as good as it could be. They put the product on the very bottom of the shipping box and then fill it with shipping peanuts. For the optimal shipping protection you should fill the shipping box half way with shipping peanuts, then insert the product, then continue to fill the box to the top with shipping peanuts. I have shipped many items in my days working in the mail room!

Pros: What a beast, runs everything I throw at it easily. Have had no temp problems even after hours of Crysis, have it in an Antec 900 case with all case fans on high.

Cons: Need a large case, no probs with an Antec 900. A little expensive, but ya get what ya pay for, a great card.

Overall Review: Came free with Crysis. Told my wife the new computer I was building was for video editing. Crysis is sooo good I haven't done any yet.....
