Pros: Incredible Price/performance ratio on this beast. It's simply incredible. I can't run Crysis flat out, but it does go faster than my friends GTS 640 without doubt. Runs UT3 demo flat out with 2xAA, never goes below ~40 fps for me. COD4 Demo is simply destroyed by this cards performance. I had to run it at 1024x768 with medium details and no AA on my previous card (A 7950gt) but on this? I run 1280x1024, full details, and 2xTRAA with no frames below 40. Runs episode 2 flawlessly with 4XTRAA with everything cranked. I think that what I'm trying to say is that this card rocks. I haven't noticed any temp problems either, just have a well ventilated case and nothing will be bad. Has the new Purevideo 2 chip on board, unlike the other 8800's. EVGA's new heatsink art looks pretty. :)

Cons: I had to install new drivers when I put this card in? (Digging for these, sorry) Oh, and the beta 169.02 drivers don't work with Crysis for me. So download the 169.04 drivers. No problem. It's also a long card. Just barely fits in my Sonata 2 case with a 120mm fan installed up front, but it does fit.

Overall Review: My system- Athlon64 x2 4400+ (socket 939), 4x512mb DDR, Vista x64, evga 8800 GT 512mb.

Pros: After reading many reviews of this new GPU I decided to replace my GTS with it. I'm planning on jumping to SLI and this board uses less power and the single slot format makes me more confortable with airflow. I was surprised to see very noticeable gains in every game I threw at it. Expecting to see approx 5-10% gains I was getting more like 20%+. Playing Crysis @ 1680x1050 with all settings at high or very high. GTS required medium to remain smooth. (30fps+)

Cons: Note the new design: I'm not thrilled about the cooling solution exhausting into your PC case and not out the back. If you're cooling an OC'd cpu on air this may affect your cpu temps. Fan is slightly louder than the GTS was but that's from the design. Still hardly noticeable.

Overall Review: All in all? These cons are splitting hairs. Nothing on the market or on the horizon is going to give you the price/performance ratio of this card. PERIOD. Buy a second after the demand calms down and this is a no brainer Ultra killer. Grats on an awesome card nVidia and as always Newegg rocks. Pros: It's about 95% as powerful as an 8800GTX which costs twice as much; not a bad deal at all. True DirectX 10.1 support. It cuts through every game like butter. How's it run Oblivion you ask? Shamefully good. Bioshock? Ha! CoD4? Easy. Gears of War? Please. Crysis? Well, that's the only game that even gets the slightest stutter. Mind you these are all running maxed out @ 1360x768. If you're looking to spend in the 250-300 dollar range, you've found your card friend. Go with with team Green. Team Red still has nothing to offer in this price/performance range.

Cons: These are minor nitpicks... The stock cooler is a bit noisy and somewhat inadequate allowing the card to run a bit hot; replaced it with a Zalman vf700 (which fits, btw). The card is extremely long, could be a problem in smaller/cramped cases.

Overall Review: This review is based on the stock speeds. It runs so well that I haven't even bothered overclocking it yet. My previous card was a 7950GT (still a good card); this 8800GT is quite a bit faster. Rig specs: 8800GT 512, Intel E2180 (3GHz), Gigabyte P35 DS3L, 4GB G-Skill (800), X-Fi, dual boot XP/Vista, 37" w/s (1360x768). Scores about 11,000 in 3DMark06.

Pros: Equipped with 512MB of GDDR3 RAM and 256-bit memory interface. Excellent performance in Crysis at 1280x1024 in DX9. Single-slot design for those of us who don't care for dustbuster cooling solutions. Reasonably priced and factory overclocked!

Cons: Some websites are pricing it higher than suggested price. Not available at many resellers. DX10 performance is slow.

Overall Review: This is THE card to get. Forget the over-priced Ultras and GTXs with leaf-blowers for cooling solutions. The GeForce 8800 GT integrates the PureVideo 2 decoder engine, TDMS controllers (for DVI), and excellent performance into one powerful GPU punch. Playing games like Crysis, Hellgate London, Unreal Tournament, and Gears of War is no sweat for this card. I enabled max details for all those games and they run smoothly at 1280x1024 (the max resolution my 19-inch Samsung will support). DirectX 10 performance is slower and, in most cases, the games don't look any better. The card is not to blame; that's Microsoft's fault. All that said, if you can get this card then by all means pick one up. With it's excellent performance and image quality it represent the best value for your dollar.

Pros: I went from a X1900XT to this , Wow In stalker I get 2x the FPS in some parts ( mostly where the FPS dropped below 30) Its a great card. Oh and BTW Im on a 4200 x2 . Just remember games are getting more GPU limited. So you can still make those old CPU's hold out if you're waiting for somthing to come out on the CPU end.

Cons: Crysis still gives it some trouble. But I'll get another one to run in SLI . thats right I have a 4200x2 and Im going to run 2 8800GT's in SLI ( Socket 939 board).

Overall Review: To Kaos7, If that card isnt smokeing you're 7950GT then you are either useing a WAY slow CPU ( not even sure PCI E motherboard's have CPU's that are that slow) , You need to formate and reinstall every thing, Or you just plan hooked it up wrong. My X1900XT would handedly beat you're card and this thing easly beats my 1900XT.

Pros: Great price, better by far than a GTS. Overclocked with a warranty! Fun game, too. It ran the Crysis demo on all high settings at about 30 FPS. It occasionally dipped down to about 20, but it was still playable. I don't have a monster gaming machine, either: ---o AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ (2.5GHz dualcore) ---o 3GB RAM (667 MHz) ---o 320GB HD (7200RPM) ---o EVGA GeForce 8800GT Superclocked (duh) Just a good decent machine, and all my games (save for the Crysis demo) can be totally maxed out at 1650x1050. And I spent less than $1,000 including a 22" Monitor!

Cons: None really, a little bit hot. Sometimes the fan gets a tad louder than necessary, but I just used some 3rd party software to slow it down, and it works great.

Overall Review: I had to get a new power supply to replace my previous 250W. Make sure it has at least 26 Amps on the +12V rails, and at least 400W (I would recommend 500W). Newegg rules!

Pros: Price vs. Performance. This card is amazing. The crown jewel to my recent PC build I bought this card after having to RMA the PNY version of the 8800GT. I could not be happier with my choice. It runs Bioshock, COD4, Crysis, Everquest 2 and Unreal Tournament 3 like a champ. Overclocked after the first week to 700 MHZ and it never goes above 55C @ 50% fan speed, even in Crysis (1680x1050 @ High, 2x AA).

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Great support website from EVGA. It's nice to buy a product and visit their website to find a HUGE active community

Pros: I've been able to run all my DX9 games on high settings. I was debating on whether to wait for the new revision of the 8800GTS that came out this week or get this card. Keep in mind this was back in the middle of November. I decided not to wait and I don't regret it. (read other thoughts). This card came overclocked and from what I see and hear, it doesn't get hot or make any noise on "stock" settings.

Cons: Very inflated price. Expect the price to wear down to its MRSP of two-hundred and fifty dollars by the mid-end of January. To overclockers, this card tends to get hot and make a lot of noise when pushed to its limits. I personally chose not to overclock it and can't say anything bad about it.

Overall Review: If you want one of the best gaming cards on the market today, the 8800 GT 512MB is still the "right" choice. It's more expensive than us consumers would like, but the 256MB version is a little too slow, and the new GTS 512 isn't fast enough. The 8800 GT 512MB is just right. Also remember, there is not one card in the market that can run DX10 games with ease so you can either go with these new g92 based cards or wait for the 9xxx series cards to come out in late February.
