Its still alive! 1/31/2018 1:59:30 PM

Pros: 8 Years later and still kicking!
Back in 2010 this was a mid-range card with decent performance for the price.

Cons: Runs Hot like all 400 series cards.

EVGA GTS 450 10/3/2014 11:12:10 AM

Pros: Cheap and still hits above its weight class

Cons: None that I can think of

Overall Review: When I first decided I was going to get into PC gaming, I had a computer built for me by a local business. Needless to say, They bled my inexperienced wallet dry. This exact card was the only good thing about the build. They had charged me $150 for it in 2012 and I foolishly trusted them. I got ripped off price wise, But the card itself is great. When gotten at normal prices, This thing is a complete beast for the price range. Its able to play any game I throw at it at 1080p and at least medium graphical settings to this day all the while pulling hardly any power and not creating any noise or heat. Ive used mine daily for over the past 2 years and its showing no signs of breaking down on me yet. If you want to throw together a cheap light gaming PC, Then I would highly recommend trying to track one of these down

Pros: Works great to play all games on medium settings! For the most part. Don't expect to play higher end games (Splinter cell, Crysis, etc) on ultra/high settings because this graphics card can't handle it past medium. Destroys other games like League consistently though.

Cons: None considering it isn't that expensive for a low-mid GPU. If you're considering getting this, save up for a better one instead if you're planning on gaming on a daily basis.

Still going strong 11/6/2013 5:56:22 PM

Pros: This card has been going strong for 3 years now. It was a great value when i bought it in 2011.

Cons: Had to RMA the first card, 2nd one worked great.

Overall Review: Most the video cards i buy are EVGA and besides 1 or 2 that I had to RMA, there hasn't been any issues.

Pros: -it works and hasn't had any issues that weren't my fault for overlooking a step that may be needed in an upgrade.

-still going strong after 2 years

Cons: -can't think of any

Overall Review: When upgrading your graphics card, if you start getting a BSOD, upgrade your power supply!

I installed this in my brother's computer as a gift for him to replace the onboard graphics, and every couple days he would get a bsod, it took me almost a month to realize that the problem wasn't the ram or gpu or motherboard, it was an insufficient power supply! I think it was a 450 watt and I upgraded it to 650 watt or something. I don't quite remember because this was over 2 years ago.

Pros: It works great, had no problems, im using a 350 watt PSU even though thay suggest 400watt. Will definitely purchase EVGA GFX card in future.

Cons: Not really a con just pay attention to size, its big did check size and almost didn't fit in my PC

Huge con:I did not get the case stickers/decals! They were missing!

Okay card 6/18/2012 2:23:39 PM

Pros: It was incredibly easy to install. Felt very sturdy, as do all EVGA cards. Works in both Windows 7 and Debian, which is why I went nVidia over ATI.

Cons: Not the best card for the money, you could probably get a much better AMD card for a little more money. I got this because I'm a Linux guy, and AMD drivers are notoriously bad for Linux.

Pros: Good gaming performance for the price. works good in SLI.

Cons: after a few months I started getting green lines across the screen on startup, and when it booted into windows I could see nothing. i would have to keep turning the system on and off continuously and it would eventually start up fine. tested in 3 systems with the same results. in the process of getting it RMA'd
