Pros: Great price to performance ratio for this nVidia product. EVGA quality and warranty, plus step-up program potential. Playing STALKER:Clear Sky currently and this card now makes the game very enjoyable in being able to turn on all the goodies (Sun Rays, yay, Sun Rays!) ;).

Cons: Had to use tin snips to cut a portion of my Antec Solo drive bay away to be able to fit the card in the case. I knew it was NOT going to fit before purchasing the card, so I was prepared with what needed to be done.

Overall Review: (1) I struggled a bit between going with the 192 vs 216 core versions. With prices down to the very low 200s on the 192 going up about 70 to get the 216 did make for some thought. In the end, the increase in benchmarks at given resolutions on games that I am playing made my mind up for me. (2) Yes, there are ATI alternatives out there, however, each time I've wandered over to the ATI camp to 'save' a bit of money, I've been burned by eithe driver issues, stability issues, or heat issues (or a combination of those). With nVidia things just work. Grab the refrence drivers, install and go. They just work.

Pros: I've owned a 4870 X2 and 4870 1GB, and now run three 260 216's. With confidence I can say a single card beats a 4870, and two beat 4870 X2. Some benchmarks may place them close together, while others show this card faster. But you must remember, there's more to ownership than benchmarks. These cards run cooler, are quieter (esp under load), and consume less power. Drivers are stable, and scaling is better. nVidia is and will likely remain the platform of choice for game developers. Lastly, they overclock quite nicely. All three of mine run flawlessly at 650/1404/2250. I haven't owned an vanilla evga card that wouldn't clock to speeds matching their highest air cooled superclock version, period.

Cons: At this price, I can't say there are any negatives. I can't think of a time when I got so much card for the money.

Overall Review: Multi-Gpu is here to stay folks. With the new Intel platform, scaling is amazing and cpu bottlenecks are eliminated. Imagine three of these, each nearly as fast as a GTX 280, in SLI config on a 3,700MHz i7 platform. There is no game, including Crysis, that I can't max out while still enjoying liquid smooth frame rates. I love these things...

Pros: Great performance for the cost. You can easily overclock this version to a superclocked edition without paying the extra money. Fan is not loud compared to the rest of my case/heatsink fans. I like how the two 6pin power connectors are run on the top of the card instead of the end. Runs COD4/5 buttery smooth at 1600x1200 with all settings maxed. I'm very happy with this purchase. FYI Farcry 2 came free in the box with mine!!!

Cons: Make sure you have the room. The size of this card is huge! 1.5" longer than my 8800gts 512mb. I had to move one of my hard drives, but it *did* fit comfortably into a Cooler Master Centurion 5 case. Make sure you have sufficient power to run this card, it takes 2 6pin pci-e connectors.

Overall Review: This is the best money you can spend for the performance you get. It'll get even better once the new 55nm GTX 200 series comes out, driving the price of these down even further.

Pros: I just bought my second one of these babies to complete yet another SLI build! They scream, and they tear up every game i throw at it (1680x1050 resolution). That's including crysis where i average 69 fps in the gpu benchmark at high settings in DX9. yeah thats 69. crysis almost feels strange without any sort of hitches, doesnt it? These babies overclock perfectly and believe it or not, EVGA precision is a pretty nice piece of software. I dont buy anything but EVGA when it comes to graphics cards or motherboards, and you shouldn't either. 38c idle on both cards, I saw them hit 60 once during hours of crysis.

Cons: Wasn't free. People say they get hot. Here's an idea, add some airflow to your case. take it out from under your desk where you have it pinned up against a wall preventing air from making its natural course. dust out your case. you dont just put gas in your car and expect it to work perfectly, dont treat your computer any other way.

Overall Review: Great cards, great company, great game performance in crysis, AOC with everything maxed, 16x aa. cod4 gets smoked, I use my second card for SLI32xaa. america.

Pros: Fantastic overclocking ability; reach 700/; 1150 (2300) on stock settings.. bumped the fan up to a quiet 65% and it runs at 38C idle, around 58-63 at full load. This runs -everything-, currently in 1680x1050 with the latest drivers; and there is no slow down.. first time I've been able to bump games like Far Cry 2 up to FULL settings, -everything- maxed! Overclocked as it is; it runs games as good and better then the 280 GTX-- while consuming MUCH less power, less heat temps, and all around a better package price.

Cons: The tech's weren't smart enough to put robotic legs on it... then it could go get my morning coffee for me.. not quite worth dropping to 4 eggs though for just that minor nuisance ;)

Overall Review: Get it while its hot! You dont need a 280 if you have one of these EVGA 260/216's around!

Pros: This card is great and here's why... This card is a powerhouse in that it can play any game I have very well. Far Cry 2 which came packaged with the card runs smooth and the physx look great as well. I've run the card overclocked a bit with Evga's utility and was able to get a 3dmark Vantage score of about 13000 with the core @ 700Mhz and the memory @ 2300Mhz. Also the physical construction of the card impresses me. the pcb is enclosed completely in a metal/plastic casing that's stylish and and structural integrity to the card itself. Overall good card for the money and the small amount of streamline processors you gain by purchasing the gtx280 seems not worth the extra $150ish to me.

Cons: None here.

Overall Review: I am running just one of these cards since I chose to go with the Asus P5Q with the Intel P45 Northbridge. I know SLI has many benefits but the cost of having two cards with a Nvidia 790i chipset seems too pricey for me. The reason I mention the 790i chipset is that so far to support PCI-E 2.0 and 1600fsb natively you would need a 790i chipset where as the Intel P45 supports these features officially and P45 chipset boards are considerably less expensive. Also, for some games that are not brand new and don't support SLI, having more than one card becomes a mute point unless Nvidia has vastly expanded their game library that SLI will accommodate.

Pros: First I wanna say, EVGA's customer support is fantastic and super helpful. But, this card kills it. I think this is probably the best graphics card you can get for the money. I use the Adobe programs quite a bit, and running stock speeds runs those programs in a fraction of the time my old system did. COD4 is the only game I've played, and it looks fantastic with all settings maxed. Runs cool, even under load.

Cons: It's almost as big as a keyboard, so you better have room.

Pros: Main reason why I made this purchase is the fact that I absolutely hate manually adjusting the fan speed on my BFG 8800GT from 29%(default) to 80%, which got irritatingly loud to the point of insanity because if I didn't; the temps would go 95c!!! I really don't care for the performance of this card which is a small but noticeable increase from the old one. At 95c, my games would be quite choppy and frame rates would start dipping if left at the default speed so I had no choice but to raise it. Here's a comparison @ 40% silent fan speeds of both cards. BFG 8800GT @ 40% silent speed (default 29%) Idles @ 58c and full on load @ 87c EVGA GTX 260 216 CORE @ 40% silent speed (default) Idles @ 47c and full on load @ 72c That's a 15c drop in temp! I'm very excited! As soon as the temp goes over 70c, the fan goes up to 47% automatically, which still remains quiet. Those who claimed that the temp maxes out @ 60c on default speed must of played their games for 10 seconds! Ridiculous

Cons: This thing is huge! Barely fit in my mid-tower and had to lower it in diagonally, but the good thing is the two 6 pins are on top.

Overall Review: The fact that I never have to fiddle with adjusting anything because the fan is silent yet temps stay relatively cool makes this purchase worth every penny! For those of you who like to overclock; you also get EVGA Precision Tool which I believe is 10 times better than nTune due to the fact that you can SAVE your settings and will not revert back to default! This card overclocks really well. You can easily overclock it to equal or even surpass the GTX 280!, granted you need to raise the fan speed to at least 70% so the GPU doesn't overheat. I also received Far Cry 2 in the box already included, which I could not install at all because for some reason, during the install it goes to microsoft visual+++ after and the whole installation just stalls with no activity. Maybe it's my drive and maybe it could be the game itself or maybe it might be the microsoft visual+++ nonsense. Overall pleased with this upgrade.
