Pros: None. Non-functional hardware.
Cons: Having to pay to ship back an item advertised as working when it in fact was not. NewEgg and EVGA have to both take blame here though. At the end of the day, I still don't have a new video card but now I'm out $14. So I'm punished for buying from NewEgg?
Overall Review: To be fair to EVGA, the card did appear to work correctly for several minutes. Then, the screen went black and the fan kicked up to 100% under zero load, desktop the foreground application. But this is where my grievance with EVGA comes in: item came in a box with an assurance sticker sealing it. Someone checked the card out, but apparently this process isn't stringent enough to catch defects such as I encountered. I definitely will pass on all future "Refurbished" items from here on.
