The short answer is yes.

The longer one is the custom build I put this PSU into is runningn AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor (8 CPUs) ~4.0GHz, and an AMD Radeon R9 200 Series graphics gard, as well as a Liquid CPU Cooler, 2 HDD and 1 SSD, for beginners.

Will this work with a evga gtx 770 SC?

Looking at the system requirements for said gfx card, the minimum is: 600 watt or greater power supply with a minimum of 42 amps on the +12 volt rail.

For the modular PSU it will provide up to 750W and has quadrails of 20Amps for a total of 80amps, so yes it will work.

Tell me about Fan or Electrical noise ?  I need a really quiet PSU !!  I use this in my HTPC (AMD FX6, Radeon 6450HD, 1TB HDDx2) with very tame specs & low pwr needs.   I realize 750w is way overkill , by design...

Honestly, it's a tad on the noisy side. I've determined with a fair amount of certainty that it's the noisiest part of my mini-ITX gaming PC. If you are using it as a HTPC and it's a bit far away from where you're sitting, it wouldn't be too bad.

The cables are LONG, too. If your HTPC case is anything smaller than a MicroATX Mini-tower I wouldn't recommend this. I made it fit in a CM Elite 130, but it was a cable management nightmare.

This is really meant for a mid tower case running two GPUs in SLI, if you ask me. I bought this for mini ITX with single GPU and that was a mistake. Not a bad PSU, mind you, but not suited for small form factor/HTPC purposes.

Can you confirm if these cables are red? The picture shows black but the review i saw on youtube had red cables??

I have yet to remove mine from the box, but if these are like most cable sets they will be black. You can get mesh kits to mod them and make them allot of different colors (it would be a pain). Other than that I can't help you....sorry

Will a VisionTek AMD radeon R9 280x OC work with this PSU?

Yes. It will handle two in SLI mode as long as you aren't powering a separate sound card and two many external fans running off of splitters off your molex connectors. One item per connector and not everything running at once and you should be fine. A single card as long as it isn't a Titan SC'd should be fine on a good 80Plus Bronze or above 750W min. will take you to a two card upgrade 1000W for 3 Cards and 1200W for 4 Cards. Also depends on what you will be using your computer for. Surfing the web barely draws anything from your card. More intense graphics in games require more power to run the card, resulting in a need for a larger PSU. Most people think better to have more and not need it, than to need more and not have it. So there you go, make you decision.

This is my current PSU and I'm planning on switching to an i5 6500 soon. Will this unit work fine with Skylake CPU's?

I am running an Intel I5 4670k with no issues.  I am also running 16gb memory.  I have a ton of programs on this unit and run like right now am doing a Secure Drive Erase on external Hard Drive in a dock.  I am answering your question on Firefox with two other programs running.  My OS is on a Samsung 500gb SSD.

Yes, the max power draw for the card probably will not be over 300W. Each version on the GTX 980ti has different power consumption levels. If you check under the specifications on Newegg there should be a note regarding the power supply.

Will this power supply work in a Dell Optiplex 990 SMT?

Yes, the Dell OptiPlex 990 SMT appears to use a standard ATX power supply. Now, according to the Dell spec sheet on the 990 series, it comes stock with a 265 watt PSU. This particular model is a 750 watt PSU. So, if you are not planning on putting in any performance parts that demand more power than the stock Dell Power supply, then you would be better off paying less money for a unit that is closer to the 300 watt range.

This is my first time buying a modular.
I assume that the connection is split into sections? Like a single sata port gives off 3 sata cables? and 1 molex port gives off 2?

As I recall (I dont have the manual or anything in front of me), 1 sata connection has 3 outputs and 1 molex has 4 outputs in this model. So the answer is yes, I just dont remember exactly how many. The space between the outputs is not overly long. but more than sufficient for drives in neighboring bays.
