Will this unit run a gtx 760 without any problem?

Yes. I ran a GTX 770 with it no problems. However there isn't much remaining for any big upgrades. If you are looking to add anything later that takes a bit of power such as another graphics card, then I'd suggest at least an 800w. I wanted to upgrade to add another 770 to my rig and bought a beefier power supply. There are power recommendations on NVIDIA's website. Just find your gpu and look through the specs to find the recommended overall power and the thermal power design which tells how much power the gpu itself uses. Then you just have to add pretty much.

Does this not come with pci cables? I did not get any in the box it came with

It comes with all necessary cables, look at picture #6 and you can see all the cables that you should receive.

Does it come with all the cables I need?

It should come with the cables to attach it to your standard rig. As long as you are using this for a normal desktop computer build, you should be fine.

Question 4

I am looking into getting this PCU for my build (First time builder) I watched a youtube video on this power supply, And the one i watched  It came with a handle on the top of it. In the pictures i do not see a handle. Does this actually come with one now?

I bought 2 of these in June and October 2014 (and am quite happy with both). Neither has a handle. Alex P's answer to Allen L's question below ("What is the difference between the new model and the old one with the handle?") suggests that the handle version is older. I saw probably the same YouTube video you did (TimmyTechTV's "EVGA SuperNova NEX650G 650W 80plus Gold PSU", 24 April 2014), and that handle looked like a great assistance to lifting the case once mounted. Oh, well.

Another thing that wasn't included with my PSUs was the nice bag to hold the PSU itself, or presumably the extra cables once the PSU's installed. As Allen L suspected, probably a cost-cutting decision.

Can this psu power a i5 4690, r9 290x, 16gb ram, 2 hdd? safely

uhh yes it can , since I5 4690 needs 84w?r9 290x needs around 370w , two hdds are around 20w . motherboard  and other things are around 100w. So  84 +370+20+100=574w  .

Is this compatible with a ryzen 7 2700x?

A 650 watt Vega PSY should be plenty to power the cpu. The 2700x has a 105 tsp so even if you overclocked you would have plenty of headroom. You would only have to worry about going to a higher powered psu if you planned on running two 1080 ti in ski and running a water pump. My suggestion is using pcpartpicker to build your pc because it shows how much tdp each part you choose has, as well as endures compatiblity.

I am looking into buying MSI 960 4GB Graphics card, And it needs a 8 pin PSU connector. Will this PSU work with this graphics card? Thank you for anyone helping.

As far as I can tell. I use two 6 pin for my gpu, but it has 8 pin coming out of the psu, hope that helps.

Is this a good psu for gaming? And be able to power the GTX 970 SSC?

Yes this is an excellent PSU!  Your setup depends on how much power you need.  When you hover over "Shop All Stores, Computer Hardware, select - Power Supplies.  Below "Shopping Tools" there is a power supply wattage calculator you can use to determine what size PSU to buy.  Hope this helps. :)

I bought this psu and really it is great for the price gold, full modular and great wattage and has been wirking for 6 months but i have realized that the psu fan is loud now, not when on desktop or most games but csgo max 1080p 300 fps with no drops after like half a comp match this thing is just full blown loud, i can tune it out but i just want to know if it is loud for anyone else and if that lead to it dieing, im worried about the lifespan?

Travis, how loud are we speaking? It shouldn't be LOUD. Audible...perhaps, but loud no. I'd open a ticket with EVGA. They have amazing warranty service. They will take care of you
