will this system handle a 52V POE media converter, as I need to mount 1 of the cameras more than 100m from the base unit?

Can this system operate completely separated from the internet? can it operate completely on our wifi system here that has no internet? We have a large wifi system in 4 separate buildings in which our zmodo system works just fine independently but it is only 720p. we are are not interested in the cloud stuff because even in the areas that do have internet it is not reliable.

Yes it operates as a stand alone system. Your NVR is hard wire to your router to assess Wi-Fi and internet. 4K is 8 million pixels and 720 is 1 million piixels, you do the math.

Is the NVR H.265 and cameras H.265?

H265 is codec use for 4K format.

What is the max fps of NVR box itself? 8MP is good but what is the camera's compression H.264 or H.265?

H265 codec standard was implied for 4K devices

What is up with this camera and all the contradictory information??? it has two different camera resolutions, two difference IP ratings

Internet Protocol is not rated. Its an assigned address. Cameras have default settings, which can be adjusted. depending on your monitor resolution there more than two custom adjustment.

are these true 4k cameras? the production description says effective resolution of 2688 x 1520 which is 4mp

Cameras are rated at eight million pixels.your FOV is four times better than FHD. That means your outter edges has more capture clarity. Must be viewed on 2k or 4k monitors to see the crispiness. Improve digital zoom greatly.
