DUAL-PLINTH VIBRATION ISOLATION DESIGN
The RT87's dual-plinth architecture dramatically improves vibration resistance. Its high-mass wood layers absorb mechanical noise before it reaches your stylus. Mounting the motor on the lower plinth and the tonearm on the upper plinth decouples the components that generate vibration from the stylus that reads the groove. In addition, conical isolators suspend the upper plinth of the turntable further blocking vibration from your environment.
