Are these cameras POE (power over Ethernet) compliant?

only the FI9816P is.   My personal opinion of this product is: They are worth the money, I was astonished to see this Cam perform like it was advertised ( WiFi/internet) for the money.   The only problem I had was that the original provider of the cams has separated from the Chinese company and has started a new company in the US, don't know what this will do to the Chinese company Support.  Have a good one

Question 2

Are the cameras completely wireless into my network or do I have to have them wired into the router or something?

They are wireless as far as networking goes, but they do require an outlet for power.  My camera receives a great signal on the other side of the house from the router. I have an extender in the garage and a camera connected to the wireless extender that does well.

Question 3

Can the camera email sound detection alerts?  Will "sound detection" appear in the email subject line to distinguish it from a motion detection alert?  Can the sensitivity of sound and motion be adjusted?

I only see a setting for motion I don't see anything for detecting just sound. Under Settings - System - Alarm. There are three settings Low - Medium - High. They are great camera's even when it's pitch black they pick up ANY movement. But I just don't see a sound only setting sorry.

What are the differences between this camera, the 9816P and the 9821P?
a) Does this camera have the Foscam P2P UID?
b) Does it have the same image quality and IR range?
c) Is the video frame rate 30fps as well?
d)  Can the camera be controlled through the Foscam iOS App and Firefox brower (post plugin)?

b) I don't know if it's the same. It has great quality and range on both.
c) Yes
d) Yes firefox, Chromium  (I don't use google chrome), Slimjet, Android & iOS.
