FSP Group Blue Storm II 500W ATX 2.2 SLI Ready Active PFC Power Supply compatible with Core i7

Pros: completely underappreciated psu. high efficiency, good clean power. even includes 2 6-pin headers for hungry power cards (1 header even includes 2 extra-pins for the newest 8-pin gpu cards). the psu is so smart it even detects voltage w/o a switch on the back.

Cons: none.

Overall Review: i have mine powering a p45 motherboard, e8500, 4gb ram, 2 sata 250gb harddrives, 2 sata lg dvd burners, a power hungry evga 9800 gtx+, 5 fans, and a wireless card.

Pros: Lasted 3 years through two system rebuilds. Never had a 'quality' PSU last more than 2 yrs in my high end high stress builds. This one made it 3 yrs.

Cons: 3 year warranty. Bought 5/24/07 failed 6/4/2010.

Overall Review: Looking at higher rated FSP psu's.

Pros: Power supply very quiet and very heavy (indicating large heat sinks). Cable lengths good in tower case with atx board. FSP makes its own supplies as well as for other names. I have several and all have lasted for years.

Overall Review: Purchased due to past record / use with sli future. Noticed that old and trusted hardwarequide site utilized fsp for baseline rigs.

Pros: Quiet, Solid Construction, Well Ventilated, 120mm Fan, Sleeved Cables, Plenty of Cable Length, Nice Blue Paint/Powdercoat, Bang for Buck.

Cons: A 2nd fan would have been nice, but not necessary & would eat power.

Overall Review: This is a very well built & stable PSU. I have an Athlon 64, 3200+(2.5ghz), X1950GT (500/1200mhz), 2 gigs of ram, 2 harddrives, 1 optical drive, & 1-120mm, & 2-80mm case fans on a Vantec fan controller. Stays cool, plenty of juice, & is whisper quiet.

Pros: Great power supply no problems so far. Does everything you need has PCIE, SATA, and MOLEX. Haven't tested the SLI yet but I am sure it's flawless.

Cons: hard to route the short cable 12v for the cpu power in the antec p180 but I'm sure that goes for any power supply in that case.

Overall Review: It's nice to find a good price, solid performer when you can find many comparable psu's at higher prices with less performance.

Pros: It's a solid performer. Haven't had any problems with it running various mid-level rigs. It's blue. I've had it on quite a lot since 2007 and it hasn't given me any problems.

Cons: None really. I like it.

Overall Review: If you need something to run a small gaming machine or a mid-range all-around type machine this will work perfectly. I don't know about pushing the limits but I'm on the verge of an overclocking adventure.

Pros: Works well.

Cons: Power supply button(i/o) broke. Company will not fix product.

Overall Review: I had this power supply before, it caught fire, they replaced it. Less than a year later, the power button no longer works, and since my original purchase was over 3 years ago, fsp will not replace the power supply. Plagued with problems. I wont buy from fsp again

Pros: I bought this PSU in May ’10 to upgrade the one in my Dell 4700. Since then I’ve built my own computer and decided to reuse the PSU rather than buy a new one. Both computers have been on most of the time and I’ve never had any issues with the PSU. It’s currently powering a Phenom II X6, GTX 460, and four hard drives. Considering how much I originally paid, I’m very pleased with the value and performance of this product.

Cons: Four SATA connectors were sufficient when I originally purchased this unit, but now I would have liked one with more. Not taking an egg off though, four were enough then and I can use 4-pin/SATA adapters now for additional drives I install.

Overall Review: Will probably look to get another FSP unit when the time comes for an upgrade.
