FUJIFILM XF 8-16mm f/ 2.8 R LM WR Lens is characterized by a 12-24 mm equivalent focal length range and is designed especially for FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras. The unit is compatible with the APS-C format. Its aperture range is f/ 2.8 to f/22. The f/ 2.8 maximum aperture is constant and provides consistent performance in difficult lighting conditions and also along the entire zoom range. The angle of view as per the lens design ranges from 121 degrees to 83.2 degrees.



The lens has a minimum focus distance of 9.84" and provides a maximum magnification of 0.1 x. There are six extra-low dispersion elements in the optical design, which reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations and give a highly clear output concerning color accuracy. Out of the six elements, three are Super ED elements. Also, four aspherical elements reduce any spherical aberrations and distortions to give a perfect rendering.







The Nano-GI (Gradient Index) coating on the lens surfaces suppresses any effects of flare or ghosting from light falling at diagonal angles. The autofocus system has a linear motor at its core, which offers a smooth and quiet operation. It comes in handy for video recodings and noise-sensitive shooting situations. There is weather sealing for the lens body at 11 points so that it is resistant to dust and moisture. It also helps it work well in extreme temperatures and can go down to even 14 degrees F.
