how much zoom does this camera have?

This camera does not have zoom, and was not intended for that purpose.  It's a 23mm lens on APS-C sensor, which is equivalent to 35mm focal length on a full frame sensor - great for portraits and street photography.  I bought this camera and love it - solid construction, lots of manual control, great hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder, excellent flash, good color reproduction, and very good image quality.  If you do not want to shoot in Manual mode, just set the dials to A = Auto, either way, it's a lot of fun to shoot with this camera overall.

Listing is for the X100S, yet the promo image and description is for the older X100.  Which is being sold?

Accepted Answer

The camera being sold is the newer X100S. In the photograph attached to this question and answer, note the "S" in the lower right-hand corner of the front of the camera as well as the "S" after "X100" on the top of the camera. I note, however, that Newegg is continuing to show photos and product descriptions of the older X100.
