Pros: For the price, these come as a very welcome upgrade for which my computer kept nagging me with warnings ad nausea. I can well imagine that with a little tweaking these would return some of that cost, but I have little need for that at this point. When I received these sticks, I was struck by the high quality in the durable design of the heatsinks (should they ever be needed), which didn't come across in the photos on Newegg nor G.Skill's site. The installation was very simple with a gentle push on each side of the stick permitting the gleeful one-two snap of the slots. I decided to run a memory diagnostic on the sticks before giving the system an all-go. To my astonishment, the RAM test took place in half the time from previously and all 6144MB were detected (as should be expected on a 64bit OS). Now I can be sure that a hefty bottleneck was in the 2x512MB Qimoda sticks these G.Skills have now replaced. Do I smell the epic odor of win radiating from these sticks? Yes.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: OS: Vista (64bit) Home Premium (16GB max detectable); Mobo: Asus IPIBL-TX (8GB max detectable). (I have an additional 3GB that came with my system produced by Samsung and Qimoda.) I will be a G.Skill customer for a long time to come; they have my thanks for such solid workmanship and that at a decent price.
