I have 204-Pin DDR3

Speed:1333=10600

Voltage:1.5V

Cas Latency: 7

this ram says it's 9...will there be any problems with my laptop cause of the cas latency? Or will work fine and okay?

Because all I care about is adding another 4 GB ram. I know I asked this question but I just want another answer to make sure!

I have a Gateway NE56R series laptop. Right now I can't find the spec sheet (sheesh!) for what I had before installing this RAM. I'm definitely NOT a techie - barely tech savvy w/o help from son's friends, lol! All I know is my son's friend installed this RAM and I can get around a heck of a lot quicker.

From what I can tell, cas latency has to do with speed to get from click to screen but that is way offset by having the additional 4GB.

Is this compatible with a Dell Vostro 1540?

Yes! According to page 79 of the Dell Vostro 1540 manual, the Specifications section says it can accept up to 4 GB of DDR3 1333 SO-DIMM SDRAM per module. This means you can have up to two of these for a total of 8 GB. I have used this RAM and it works reliably and fast.

Question 3

I have 6GB of RAM in my Lenovo Z575...1 - 2GB chip and 1 - 4GB chip.  Chip specs are 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM 1333 - PC3 10600.  Laptop can handle an upgrade to 8GB (2x4GB).

Can I just get one of these to replace the 2GB chip?  Just want to make sure there is no benefit from replacing the 4GB chip already in place.

The only benefit in getting two of the same chip could be in memory pairing. If you have gone this long without memory pairing, you won't notice anything but the more RAM. ;)

So I've Cas Latency:7 and the ram says Cas Latency: 9...I have Volt 1.5V and the same speed so is that okay? Will I have any problems?

The CAS Latency is kind of how long it will take the RAM to respond.  A bigger CAS Latency means a slower RAM chip, but it's measured in thousandths of a second, so as long as you're not doing high-performance computing, you won't even notice the difference.

As long as the frequency and pin count match it should work fine.

Oh, and make sure your motherboard can actually support the memory. I bought this chip for my netbook without checking the specifications and now I have a letter opener -_-

I always use Curcial's website to check to see what RAM my computers take.  They can check automatically to see how much ram you have and what type goes into your computer.  If the specs align you should be just fine.  Good Luck

This product states it is for a laptop computer. Will it work with a Desktop computer?

No, you're going to want to specifically get a DDR3 RAM chip for desktop; the laptop ones are smaller and won't fit in a desktop motherboard.

When you are looking at reviews - you can search for keywords - please people - use this tool! Most websites don't have that - and it would have answered your question immediately.
I'm not trying to be crude, but anyone who reads this review- use the keyword search in the reviews if it has many- you'll get your answer :)
If case anyone else asks - YES, this will work. A simple google search would show you, or looking at the stock stick which is the same speed/pin type. There are many laptops that have different models, but typically if you google the entire model type + "ram type" you will typically find the results pretty quickly.
Your laptop model only uses this or a slower speed.

That's a rather vague question. If you open your computer and pop out a stick of ram and it says PC3 on it, yes. this will work. May I request that you provide a model number the next time you have a question regarding hardware compatibility? ;)

Will this work for a HP Compaq 6000 Pro Model# VS833UT?

From my knowledge of HP All-in-One products Laptop ram will work and this would be compatible. I would recommend replacing both Ram modules with this to get a even 8 of a matching pair of ram to reduce the risk of compatibility issues. I did read on the HP site on this model and it mentions 200 pin ram which I have never heard of so I think it is safe to say that was  a type on HP's part. If this ends up not being correct Newegg has a great return policy. But I think its safe to say that this will work.

Are these Dual Channel?

Hi Gary,

The DIMMs (sticks) themselves are not single or dual channel, the motherboard in which the memory is installed designates the channel type.  For instances if you have a motherboard that supports dual channel, you could install 2 DIMMs to allow the motherboard to make use of both channels.  Installing only 1 DIMM will only allow the motherboard to operate in single-channel mode.
