Pros: Runs on 1.5 volts - no need for 1.65 volts When XMP is not enabled, there is some headroom to overclock.
Cons: none so far
Overall Review: This is an update to my review of 01/07/2012. Have 2 of these triple channel kits in a Core i7-965ee system for a total of 12GB. Like ALL memory rated faster than DDR3-1333 this RAM runs at DDR3-1333 speed UNLESS you enable XMP memory profile in the BIOS. I disabled XMP then used my ASUS AI Suite/EPU-6 software slider control to overclock the cpu by 16% instantly in Windows (no reboot required!). This also presumably overclocks the memory since it's the base clock of the cpu that is boosted here, not the cpu multiplier. So, the Core i7 chip went from 3.20GHz to over 3.7GHz and remains totally stable even after 2 solid hours playing Crysis 2. Anyway, this G-Skill memory is conservatively rated and doesn't require high voltage to achieve good performance in a socket 1366 motherboard. Needless to say, a good quality big power supply and plenty of airflow in the case are essential!
