Question 1

Bought this RAM package for Intel i5 Haswell 4670K, then oops realized that Intel specifies DDR3 1600. But the G.Skill DDR3 1600 equivalent is the exact same price. As long as this will function with my CPU without performance loss, I can't think of any reason to exchange it? (NOT overclocking -- yet)

The board typically sets the max power setting. The CPU will typically reduce the amount of power when using four sticks. Mine personally runs at 1866 with two sticks, but when I put all four in it is reduced to 1600 due to the cpu limiter.

One thing that is hard to find is Ram that has higher power setting while keeping the CAS latency (duration time) low. I believe these are the lowest (8-9-9-24) for 1600 and 1866 ram but it has been a while since I shopped newegg for RAM.

Question 2

My motherboard is ASUS A88X-Plus which is supposed to support DDR3 1866 without overclocking. The specifications for this G.Skill memory indicates that it is also DDR3 1866. Yet my motherboard recognizes the memory as 1600. Why is that? I tried automatic overclocking on the motherboard and my processor got overclocked but the memory is still 1600. Should I overclock it to 1866 manually?

Try removing them and reinstalling them into the motherboard. If I remember correctly, my motherboard ( ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0) had a similar issue properly reading the G. Skill. I removed and reinstalled to ensure they are properly seated into the motherboard and it worked fine. Sorry if I can't be more help.

I don't see it in the qualified vendor list (QVL).  I can't put links, but if you go to the gskill website, go to products, find the specific product and make sure the model number is exact, they have a list of all the motherboards each of their memory modules should work with.

Scroll down to the Overview/Specification/QVL section and click on QVL.  If you see your motherboard in this list then it should work fine.  However, just because you don't see it in this list, doesn't mean it won't work.  I've taken this chance before and have been fine, but I'd make sure that there's at least something very similar in the list to compare to, specifically something with the same chipset and supports the same CPUs.

Also, if the RAM works with your motherboard and your motherboard works with your CPU, then the RAM/CPU compatibility should also be fine.

I mean technically speaking it should work because unless it has some kind of new memory socket of some kind it should be fine but I'll tell you just to be safe that it does not have it listed just to cover my bases but technically it should work just fine

Can this ram be overclocked to 2133 MHZ? I have an Asus M5A99FX pro r2.0, with and fx 6300 I want to overclock CPU to 4.1 and this ram to 2133 mhz. I got this ram because of CL8 rating. Will it OC well?

I am not well versed in this, but probably not. The rated numbers on RAM generally mean the RAM will not consistently perform above that level. Unlike CPUs, RAM that is capable of running at higher speeds is usually labeled for that higher speed and sold at a higher price.

Will this ram work with phenom II 1090t on a m5a99x evo r2.0?

The Asus m5a99x evo r2 specifies support SDRAM DDR 1866 with out the need to manually configure for it. However there may be some minor manual config you would need to alter but the Motherboard does indeed support it so your ready to go.

Can I fit a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO over my CPU if I am using this with the Ripjaws RAM and Asus Z-97A motherboard?

Well all the specs says yes but I've been burned before with this. If your going to use the two sticks only then it will work fine so long as you use the second port set, as appose to using the first memory slots. Still try it on the first memory slot to see if it will work, sometimes it does and sometime not, however I usually prefer to use the second memory slot pair as it move the memory away from the heat sink (the  CoolerMaster). in Short yes it will work just follow the above instructions.

Yes this RAM will work in that board. The board supports up to 1866 depending on the CPU, though. Only other thing to watch out for is the height of the RAM when using a large aftermarket cooler.

You have to look up info on your motherboard memory controller
which on my HP desktop is AMD and only 1600. My G.Skill works 
noticeably better, even though it is not allowed to run at 1866.
G.Skill is fantastic and not responsible for AMD memory controller 
holding it back.

i have this exact kit installed in an asus m5a99fx r2.0 board already will the system be stable if i add another kit for the total of 16gbs? i have heard that even if you buy the exact same ram it may cause stability issues.

Hello Sonia. You shouldn't have any issues with adding a second ram kit if it is the exact same kit. The M5a99fx on the product page states that it can handle up to 32GB of ram. Your system should have no issues with stability unless the second kit is defective, or you have overclocked your cpu.
