I’ve never built a pc before and don’t know much about them but I enjoy gaming and wanna get into streaming. What parts should I get and where should I get them? My budget is around $3000
I like using PC parts picker when building. when you chose the parts you want it helps with compatibility by throwing up red flags for you. plus it shows lowest prices at major retailers. It doesn’t always show flash sale prices though. you should check newegg for combo deals after you pick your parts. It also has reviews that people leave on parts they have purchased. sometimes it takes a bit to find the best deals.
Here is a link to a post with a few videos for you. I havent updated them in a bit but they are still pretty relevant
you’ll probably should go with a AMD x3d cpu for the gaming and Nvidia GPU because your gonna stream. If you go AMD, the RAM speed should be 6000Mhz with a CL timing between 30-36. I would say at least 32GB of RAM and make sure it is EXPO compatible. this will give you a start for you to oresearch. When you have more questions after all this just ask. Lots of members here will help walk you thru it. You have lots to learn so buckle-up for the ride, but it can fun.![]()
corection I meant EXPO compatible. XMP is for a Intel build
Are you certain that you want to jump into your first build being this expensive? If so, that’s amazing. Just thinking cautiously here, as those are some expensive components to possibly damage or mess up.
Yes I’m sure, I’ve been saving for awhile because I wanted my first to be really good
