heard that RAM speeds above 6000Mt/s can cause issues?

Is that true? i think i read that Robert Hallock can be quoted that, Director of AMD’s technical marketing.

it was the sweet spot for AM5 builds a while back but not sure now with the newer bios updates. voltage mattered too. The motherboard should have a list of compatible sticks. Any body got an update on this?

I like to stick to 6000 Mt/s to be safe, u could get a bit higher but i think 6000 is good enough for this decade until DDR6 comes out

That’s some good information. BIOS updates really make a good difference.

Unless your applications tend to land on the niche sides of enthusiasts, I would say 6000 is plenty as long as you have a good cpu. I wouldnt necessarily say that the higher speeds cause issues, but there is definitely a higher chance of experiencing that instability as some of the mainstream AMD CPUs, typically those of the Ryzen 7000 series have seen some instability and latency introduced when paired with higher frequency ram.
