even Overwatch was dying until they revamped it. and League seems to have a major update every year or other year. they don’t revamp cs2 the same way

Because they made something that works from the start, I think. Plus there is a big competitive scene that has been around for years.
Plus there is an economy of skins, overwatch doesn’t have this, you can’t trade 2000 dollar pixels from one player to another, which you can then sell on a website and pay off your rent.
Probably something to do with the gameplay loop being quicker too.
