I need help on what to get my budget is 1k
I’d save more. atleast 2k. RAM is crazy high and GPU’s are starting to climb again.
You can do it for about 1k but…
1: you will have to shop for some deals and source the parts from multiple outlets.
2: it will be an entry-level machine
3: You will have to make your purchases very soon, more like now! Prices will probably be going up on everything after the first of the year.
this is what your computer would look like. please take note that because of the volatility in the ram market I had to manually put in the price for the ram it is the right ram G skill 6000 MHz but it’s a total of 16 gigs not 32. PCpartspicker is having trouble keeping up with the fluctuations.
This build does not include any sales prices you may find. What’s good about this is while it is entry level it gets you onto the AM5 platform (current platform). Which makes it highly upgradable in the future, it also has 16 GB of VRAM on video card which is very important moving forward.
Here is the actual RAM you would need for this build, On newegg.
You could go with a Pre-built for that price but your most likely going to get a 8gig GPU and you really dont want that
Notes & Clarifications:
• RAM: PCPartPicker is not allowing selection of the exact DDR5-6000 kit at the moment due to availability/tool limitations. The listed RAM reflects the correct spec for this build.
• PSU: The 550W power supply will run this system as configured. A higher-wattage PSU may be required for future GPU upgrades.
• Storage: SSD prices are currently elevated. A 500GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive was chosen to maintain performance within budget. Additional storage can be added later.
• Pricing & Availability: Prices and stock fluctuate frequently and may differ by retailer or region.
Hey! With a $1,000 budget, you can absolutely build a solid first PC. Aim for a good balance between the CPU and GPU — something like a Ryzen 5 or Intel i5 paired with a mid-range graphics card will give you great performance for gaming and everyday use. Make sure to include 16GB of RAM, a 500GB–1TB SSD, a reliable 80+ Bronze (or better) PSU, and a decent case with airflow. If you tell me what you mainly want to do (gaming, streaming, editing), I can suggest specific parts within your budget.
This is a build that is a little over 1k:
It’s on am4 but if you can save up the money quickly than you could get a 5700x, and also the cpu and gpu won’t have a bottleneck at both 1080p and 1440p
