News: Gamescon is upon us! Last year's Gamescon was fantastic, what are we excited to see most?

Gamescom 2024 marked one of the biggest celebrations of gaming in recent years. Held in Cologne, the event drew hundreds of thousands of fans and exhibitors from around the world. The show floor was buzzing with new announcements, hands-on demos, and a look at the future of gaming technology. Major publishers came prepared with fresh reveals, including Sniper Elite: Resistance, a new co-op spin on the popular tactical shooter series, as well as updates from big franchises like Monster Hunter, Borderlands, Mafia, and Civilization. Xbox had a particularly strong presence, showing off gameplay from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, confirming the release date for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Looking ahead, Gamescom 2025 is already shaping up to be even larger. The event officially runs from August 20–24, with Opening Night Live taking place on August 19. Hosted once again by Geoff Keighley, the showcase will deliver a packed lineup of world premieres, release date announcements, and gameplay reveals. Some of the most anticipated highlights include Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Resident Evil Requiem, Ghost of Yōtei, Ninja Gaiden 4, The Outer Worlds 2, Silent Hill f, and the World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion. Long-awaited fan favorite Hollow Knight: Silksong is also set to appear in playable form at the Xbox booth, hinting that a release window could finally be on the horizon.
