PC Building

Hello, I am seeking a PC capable of running the majority of games at 165+ FPS with consistent smooth performance, even at maximum graphical settings, without concern for frame drops or lag. I have never owned a desktop PC before—my experience has been limited to consoles and a gaming laptop—so any guidance in selecting an appropriate system would be greatly appreciated.

What’s your intended resolution? 1080p? (What’s your model number on your monitor) What is your budget? It sounds like since it’s your first time, you should get a pre-built computer to ease the transition. Do you care about looks?

Sounds like you’ll need a PC around 2k+

A PC that can run games smoothly at 1080p, preferably achieving high frame rates (my monitor supports both 1080p and 4K at 165 Hz). My budget is around $1,500, and I am not concerned with aesthetics—performance and smooth gameplay are my priorities. I would appreciate any recommendations you may have.

Thermaltake makes a nice PC for the price. This has a real good X3d CPU( you want that) and a pretty Decent GPU in your Price range. The next level up in GPU would most Likely put you out of your price range. 32gigs of RAM (more than enough) and 16gigs of v-RAM (very important)

on sale too!!

To max out all the graphical settings and get those frame rates your probably looking at something more like this though.

this one is real nice, but to be honest the first PC is a heck of a deal on sale.
