New price to performance GPU chart
5090s not listed but that’s 100% (performance) and price is “if you have to ask”
Is this for the prices if thay were at msrp?
no it’s for prices on that day. probably an average. probably the only GPUs that are at MSRP right now our Intel’s which no one really wants and 5050s which are utter garbage and quite frankly a scam from Nvidia. A lot of the GPUs aren’t made anymore but they’re still available on Amazon and other retail outlets as new old stock.
Thanks! I wonder why the 4090 is good price to performance though. And that the same could be said for the 5090
because they’re top-tier and can charge whatever they want for them even if it is overpriced. No one else is producing a card to compete with them. All of the other GPUs are based off the 5090 which is considered 100% on the performance scale. The processing power of Nvidia’s 90 class cards is just out of sight. while people use them for gaming they really are not designed for that usage anymore.
It’s hard to describe how powerful of 90 class cards are without seeing one in action. One of the guys I work bought one, just because. when I went over to his house when he put the thing together and we fired it up, I think it was Call of Duty, I can’t remember but he was getting 300 frames a second with everything turned up to ultra no DLSS or frame gen. My exact numbers might be off, but my point is it was just stupid crazy FPS.
I want to play whatever the latest version of farming simulator is at ultra settings at 4k one day. And I think a 90 class nvidia gpu is the only thing that can do it. Unless of course amd or intel pull out something really good that’s better than nvidia. Or when nvidia go full on ai. (which I don’t think will happen after this shortage that they may have actually caused)
