Ive been building systems for 25 years, i will never buy a amd gpu again. Ive tried them twice in that time, both of those systems had issues with games that were not fixed until amd was ripped out and replaced with nvidia. My personal experience says that amd gpu drivers are total trash. Thats just my 2 cents though, i have friends that swear at them.. i mean swear by them.

I’ve only had minor issues. the latest was new Oblivion reddit had the fix posted that only affected 66xx to 67xx AMD cards meanwhile my son’s 6800 runs like a dream 100% issue free. NVIDIA is far from perfect driver issues of their own( Ran into one with my 5070) plus you never hear of AMD cards melting down I’d rather have driver issues the loose $500 to $ 1000 on a card

I kept trying to snag an Arc B580, but they kept getting sold out on BestBuy and I wasn’t about to pay over MSRP, so I just ended up upgrading my GTX 1080 to an RTX 5060 TI 16GB.

I have a 3060 12GB model. Fortunately, a friend gave it to me, as he is not a gamer. It replaced an R9 280 that failed, which makes me very grateful.
