Maybe some simple platforming games would be appropriate. Something like Fall Guys for Rayman Legends. If you have Switch, Mario games are always great to start with. Word on the street is that Civilization games are good for parents. It’s turn based and based on civilizations. My own mother in law played Limbo and got a kick out of that one. A game where you don’t have to have too high APM would be good. Or a simpler turn based game as well.

this might sound crazy, but I’ve seen a lot of older people like the casual games that are like hidden pictures. Also I used to play baseball on Sega, and PS one with a great uncle who was in his late 60s at the time. Maybe you can find a sports game that doesn’t have too complicated of controls.

Minecraft bedrock in peaceful mode (with keyboard and mouse or controller)
