Heard these were the goto gpu’s for mid range. Wondering what the community accepted price is
AMD’s official MSRP for the reference model RX 9070 XT cards is $599.99. That price was really only available at launch, and it doesn’t apply to aftermarket designs with higher-end cooling solutions. Most aftermarket-designed Radeon RX 9070 XT cards sell in the range of $699.99 to $749.99 with some high-end models coming in above this range.
However, $749.99 is also the MSRP of GeForce RTX 5070 TI, which performs 5% better on average (Source: Relative performance chart shown here at TechPowerUp). Each has their strengths and weaknesses. NVIDIA cards of this tier also currently include a free copy of Borderlands 4 for a limited time. Granted, finding an RTX 5070 TI at its base MSRP may prove difficult, just like finding a Radeon RX 9070 XT at its base MSRP. At $699.99 an RX 9070 XT is a solid price-to-performance contender, so long as you don’t plan to purchase Borderlands 4 at full price from Epic.
