this is only a guess. I would say since they’re losing a lot of market to other platforms . So they’re going to try to squeeze every penny thay can out of from their most faithful fans. Then when they see that they start to leave them. Then they will back off a bit and see what the most everybody will pay is. some people have so much brand loyalty from marketing they’ll stick with it.

If we get 1k priced consoles, PC building / PC buying is going to be very appealing for many people.
