Arrow Lake isn’t killing X3D hype.
It’s more like Intel re-entering the boss fight with better armor.
If you care about pure, maxed-out FPS in CPU-bound games, X3D is still the cheat code. That 3D V-Cache just feeds the GPU differently.
There’s actually a breakdown in Best Desktop CPUs in 2026: Gaming vs Productivity vs One CPU to Do It All that basically frames it this way: X3D owns the pure gaming lane, while Arrow Lake is the balanced “does everything well” option.
So are we living in AMD’s world? For high-refresh gaming? Yeah, kinda. But Intel’s not dead — it’s just playing the long game now.

9600x for a good mid ranged cpu, 7600x for a slightly cheaper option. 5500 or 5600 for budget builds. 7800x3d or 9800x3d for top of the line builds. And 9950X3D for high performance top of the line build. (If that makes any sense)

All i9s? Nope. I did a benchmark online and I’m pretty sure that my Ryzen 7 5700 did better than a 10th gen i9. So not all i9s are that powerful.
