I’d play this game if I could afford it! Videogames are so expensive nowadays!
I wasn’t there for the 80’s game console ( even though I own most of them ) but they use to go for like $80+, which is the equivalent of $315 today.
I think subscriptions are way more overpriced than any of the games are. Then again, I am also type to usually buy games 3-6 months after release, unless I am SUPER hyped for games. I bought FF7 remake-Intergrade but didnt play it for 2 years after launch and when I played it, I got so hyped for Rebirth, I played it when it released on PC.
I think a lot of people actually have their own price points where they think games are " the right price ". I am generally okay with spending more money if it means a better product in the end.
Totally feel you on that! my wallet is crying ![]()
This is a really insightful point about the inflation-adjusted cost of games—$315 in today’s money is a wild perspective I hadn’t considered! I totally agree with you that personal price points are key. I’m the same way; waiting almost always pays off, both for the wallet and for getting a more polished product. It’s that rare, super-hyped game that makes a day-one purchase feel worth it. Thanks for sharing such a thoughtful take!
