Question 1

How to clean the mouse lens?

Accepted Answer

Some rubbing alcohol (isopropyl - As high a % as you can get, preferably 80-90% or higher), or lens cleaner if you have it. You could probably use a q tip or something to get down in there and clean it off.

Source: Experience - Also if you google how to clean a laser lens you'll find the same thing on professional tech sites, usually talking about DVD players and the like. Same concept though.

Question 2

Does this mouse have onboard profiles? I use Linux in addition to Windows, and want to know whether I'll be able to use onboard profiles to carry my settings over to Linux.

Accepted Answer

Well it has some kind of internal memory because as you ask this question I realize I don't have the software installed after a clean reinstall of windows.

I just re-installed the software. Cannot upload the profile existing in the mouse. However it looks as if there are 5 profiles to select between all of which are saved in the mouse and can be saved off for backup. Hope that helps.
