Is this mouse just for use with a touch-screen computer? I would like to use it, along with a wireless keyboard, to interface with my computer while broadcasting the screen image to a TV (work from my recliner). Thank you.

You can use it with any computer that has a free USB port.   Doesn't matter if it is touch screen or non-touchscreen.

Is the software compatible with OS X?

I do not know. I purchased mine to use with an ACER Iconia Tablet with Windows 8 installed that proved unworkable for me.
