Would this be good as a base gameing tower case? I plan on buliding a 500$ gameing pc so i need some cheap parts

for a cheap gaming pc, it'd be ok. no cable management pretty much, so either be ok with a hive of cables, or get a modular power supply. not very wide, so i'd get a lower profile heatsink if you're getting a custom one for our cpu. this is pretty much a case that'll get the job with very few bells and whistles.

How big are the drive bays and how many are there?

There are 3x 5.25 inch drives (for cd rom devices), and one 3.5 inch (floppy/etc) sized drive.

There are 5 3.5 inch internal harddrive bays.

The '5.25' inch bays are more like 6", the 3.5 externals is 4", and the internal HD bays are like 4.5".

Which is interesting, I had always believed the "form factor" size to be the actual standard size but it appears I have been lied to.

The height of each drive is 1.75" for the CD bays, 1" for the floppy, and a little over 1.5" for the HD bays.

This was a good case, the only issue I had was putting a video card in. I had a GTX 760 4GB 'Windforce' Gigabyte card and it was too long to fit inside the case so I had to use tin snips to cut out some of the hard drive bays. Not a big deal, I didn't need 5 of them. Just fyi.

this case supports vga/dvi right? and i cant tell but the two ports in the back are for usb 2.0? someone please answer thanks.

I'm a bit confused by your question, but usually your motherboard/graphics card would supporse vga/dvi. If you buy an AXT motherboard it will fit inside the case. Motherboard (generally) come with a custom backplate you can snap into place in the case before inserting the motherboard. If you are moving the board from another case to this one you'll have to remove the plate from the original case and snap it into the new one.

Would this case fit a 10.5" GPU? I'm interested in upgrading mine, so I'm wondering if the 7950 will fit in this.

no, if you try is going to be a tight fit on the case. I recommend you the get a full tower computer case, for better air circulation.
