Just looked this board up in my order history to jog my memory.

I had problems with this board using an AMD Athlon X2 340 Trinity 3.2GHz Socket FM2. I returned the board to newegg and got 
MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard, which worked well for me.

Question 2

will this motherboard run a AMD A4-4020 Richland 3.2GHz Socket FM2 65W with out updating bios?

They are both APU FM2 sockets so I don't see where there would be an issue running these two together. On a side note, it looks like this board only has usb 2.0. For another 20 bucks or so you should be able to get a good board with some 3.0 usb connections.

can anyone reccomend a heatsink?

If you are referring to a cpu heatsink any standard one should work including the one that comes with a cpu.

Yes, it should.  I recently put one together with a A8-6xxx series (Richland CPU), which is a newer CPU and I didn't have a problem.  The A8-5600K is a Trinity CPU and should be supported out of the box without a hitch.

What is the recommended size for the power supply?

Recommended size for the power supply is determined by more than just the motherboard. http://images10.newegg.com/BizIntell/tool/psucalc/index.html Above is a link that will take you to Newegg's Power supply calculator page. Answer a few questions and it will give you a recommendation. Generally more is better. You do not want the draw on the ps to be anywhere near it's rated wattage. I would generally suggest for this mother board, with a dual core processor and a single hard drive, 350 watts should be adequate. With a dual hard drive setup (Raid) I would go to at least 400 watts. Get the best power supply you can afford. PC Power and Cooling makes a great line of PS units. NewEgg sells them. Good luck

Does this mobo have uefi? I am trying to build a Steambox.

I assume you mean does it have a UEFI BIOS?  If that is your question yes it does and for those of us more accustomed to the older BIOS's it is different but it worked fine on the Windows 7 machine I just installed it in.

Are A55 Chipsets outdated? how much better is A88X?

It's not that they're outdated...they just have fewer features.

If you're going to pair it with an A8 or A10 APU, I'd go with at least the a75 chipset, if not the a85 or a88 because overclocking is one thing that the better chipsets do...well...better.

A55 doesn't support SATA III and often doesn't support USB 3.0 (although it can).

Basically, if you're rebuilding a low level system, re-using an old case, hard drive, etc. The A55 chipset is a sweet spot for budget upgrade AS LONG AS you are not planning on any significant upgrade in the future.

If you're building new where SATA III support, USB 3.0 front panel support are important OR if you plan to use it for any gaming at all, I'd recommend going with at least the A75 chipset.

While I'm at it, I've built 4 APU based machines, two with the A55 chipset, one with the A75 and one with the A85.  They all do their jobs well...but from that experience, I can tell you that it's worth it to get the faster memory.

Question 9

I have 2 A6-360 series processors.  The socket they fit in looks different than in the picture.  The two wide apart blank areas should be on the same row of pins.  Is the picture wrong?  I need a cheap board that will work.

Go to the Gigabyte web site and check the information on that board they will tell you what processor would work in that board and see if there is a board for that processor for your performance that you are looking for newegg will carry the board. do the research

I don't see if it supports AMD graphics controller does any one else? I have a Radeon HD 8470D graphics controller in my AMD processor and want to make sure it supports it before purchasing it. Any help will be appreciated.
