so can i use a kaveri apu on this board,also how much ram does this support? cause im looking into buying a 8 gb ram stick and just wanna make sure that i can put it in thx!,also can i put a graphics card in here,i mean i know theres pci expresses but juts asking thinking of putting an radeon r9 270 x in here

Not sure where William got his info from it states supports A series APU both here and on the box. From the experience I had though I'd either save if you need to or if you have it spend some more for something else. This board fried my components on startup. Thankfully I had just bought everything and was able to send it all back but was a massive headache to do so. Gigabyte is a good brand normally but this time it flopped. I recommend the ASRock FM2A88M Extreme4+ FM2+ / FM2 AMD A88X (Bolton D4) 8 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard. What I replaced it with and so far love it.

Question 2

Since the description here (nor the Gigabyte website) is clear. Does this motherboard have integrated VGA for use with an Athlon X4 860K or not? The description seems to imply it does however it's not very clear and I want to doubly make sure before ordering as this build is for a customer.

The Athlon X4 860K is not an APU however as it is just a CPU and doesn't have the GPU built into the chip like the APU. Sorry to be so specific but it seems to be a common issue with these CPUs running on the FM sockets. I just don't want to buy this combination and wind up having to purchase a GPU for the customer when I could have just went with an APU.

Question 3

I can't seem to find the internal usb 3.0 slot on this motherboard. Can someone help me? This is my first time building a computer, and I'm only 12, so this must be a rookie mistake. Thanks!

This board doesn't have pins for usb 3.0 even though it has usb 3.0 ports. You're going to want to check the board closely for the actual pins before buying. You can buy a pci card that has Ian 3.0 ports and the pins also. I've done that once before. Otherwise, that front usb 3.0 port won't work.

Can anyone recommend a good fan for this motherboard with a AMD A10-7850K processor please?

the evo x12 by cooler master. it supports a wide range of cpu's and aslong as you turn your turbo boost off you shouldnt see any heat issues

Can anyone confirm if this motherboard supports the Athlon 860k right out box, I mean without having to update BIOS?

Gigabyte states at their website that The first Bios F1 does support the CPU. You should have no problem (Be aware that the CPU and Mother Board DO NOT have graphics. You will need a Video card)

Yea as long as it's a Fm2 or Fm2+ cpu you'll be fine I put a 750k quad in it works great

The board comes with an 8 pin 12 volt connector. Do I need  to use a 8 pin 12 volt connector or can I use just a 4 pin 12 volt connecter from my power supply? My power supply doesn't have an 8 pin 12 volt connector.

i chose a processor with fm2 socket type with intergrated amd radeon hd8300 series graphics is it compatible with this motherboard or do i need to pick a motherboard that specifies hd8000 series graphics?
