Does motherboard include all cables and etc?

Mine came with 2x SATA HDD cables,the user's manual and CD containing:Chipsets/Serial-ATA/Network/Audio Drivers bundled with Norton and Adobe Reader. It was an easy install,no problems.

does this have a connection for a usb 3.0 connector?

It has two USB 3 connectors for the rear of the case with no modification. This works "out of the box."

It may also be possible to onnect on-board USB 3.0 "sockets" to USB 3 connectors on the front of a suitable case. (My case has no front USB 3, so I am not certain of this last point.)

cool, thank you for your input.  I saw the Qualified Vendors List (QVL) for the gigabyte motherboard GA-H81M-HD2 and I am using that list as reference.  Also I went to a memory website.  And used the websites memory finder and looked up the gigabyte MB I am interested in getting memory for.  The compatible memory was not listed in the Qualified Vendors List (QVL) for this particular MB I am interested in.  But I chatted with a live person on the memory website and he said the Qualified Vendors List (QVL) could be outdated as memory is changing fast.  So I will trust the memory finder website as I am sure of the gigabyte Motherboard make n model.

If you're talking about Hackintosh no clue, look it up, there's billions of guides with compatible hardware.

If you're not building a Hackintosh then no, only official Apple products will be compatible.

does it need a fan for the cpu ? what else will I need to make it work in my case?

It has been awhile since I bought it. I do believe that you need a fan, since I do not remember it coming with one. The only additional items apart from the motherboard that it comes with  are the main connectors.

Yes, it will be compatible with Windows 8.1 along with any Linux and OS X 10.7 and up.

I accidentally bought 1 8 gig Ram stick instead of 2 4 gigs, it says single channel but can this motherboard also support single channel RAM?

According to the literature, it does. The board supports up to 8 Gb per channel so if you are only installing one chip, you have 8 Gb single channel as opposed to 2 4 Gb in dual channel mode.

The excerpt from the instructions below explains this. But it doesn't say which socket to use if you are only installing one chip. Socket #1 is the socket on the left.

Dual Channel Memory Configuration
This motherboard provides two DDR3 memory sockets and supports Dual Channel Technology. After the memory is
installed, the BIOS will automatically detect the specifications and capacity of the memory. Enabling Dual Channel
memory mode will double the original memory bandwidth.
The two DDR3 memory sockets are divided into two channels and each channel has one memory socket as following:
Channel A: DDR3_1
Channel B: DDR3_2
Read the following guidelines before you begin to install the memory:
•• Make sure that the motherboard supports the memory. It is recommended that memory of the
same capacity, brand, speed, and chips be used.
(Go to GIGABYTE's website for the latest supported memory speeds and memory modules.)
•• Always turn off the computer and unplug the power cord from the power outlet before installing the
memory to prevent hardware damage.
•• Memory modules have a foolproof design. A memory module can be installed in only one direction.
If you are unable to insert the memory, switch the direction.
Due to CPU limitations, read the following guidelines before installing the memory in Dual Channel mode.
1. Dual Channel mode cannot be enabled if only one DDR3 memory module is installed.
2. When enabling Dual Channel mode with two memory modules, it is recommended that memory of

does this motherboard support core, pentium, and celeron?

Some , check the Gigabyte CPU support list . Also , bear in mind the onboard graphics of this motherboard is supported only by the Intel CPU's with integrated graphics

no, it has max support for two monitors. Also, no audio through HDMI.

Sorry, no it is not.  The 1156 and 1155 sockets are mutually exclusive and attempting to use a 1156 CPU on an 1155 board will short out one or both parts.  Get an 1155 CPU to use with this board.
