how would i get the best performance with this gpu?

That's a vague question, are you asking about overclocking, or hardware to pair it with? I have it paired with a Ryzen 3 2200 with 16 GB Corsair LPX  2666. When benchmarked in Heaven at max 1080 settings it's frames average at about 60 FPS with the lows in the 30s and highs near 200. I noticed that it seems to slow down when rendering water. As for overclocking, I don't know. This card is great for 1080 resolutions, but I would advise something beefier for 1440 resolutions.

I dropped this into a budget build that became a Covid online school machine and bought a 1660 Super for my main build.  At the time the 1660 Super occupied the sweet spot of price for performance. There was a big jump in price for a little jump in performance above that card. I've had no issues with this card even though it's on a 12 year old motherboard.

you are looking at a 20%(ish) performance improvement. i am using my 1650 super to power an entertainment pc in my livingroom. it's able to play games like cyberpunk on my 60" 4k tv at about 30 fps on medium setttings.
