Question 1

I was looking to purchase a nvidia gtx 550 ti.  Is this more or less the same?  Will it work with an HP Pavilion motherboard? Sorry to be clueless - appreciate your help!

The GTX 750 should be a higher performance card than the 550. We use ours for CNC programming software and needed the 4GB of video ram more than the high quality visual graphics. Good card! If video games or visual graphics are your intended use this card will be fine. I would look at the GTX 960 or 980 for best gaming graphics, or even a high performance Radeon card (less $ for the performance). The card only has one PCI Express connector but takes up two slot spaces due to the thickness and requires a 6 pin power connector cable. Check to see if your power supply has a free 6 pin plug to power the card, if not, adapters from 6 pin to 4 pin or SATA would be required (as in our case) and can be difficult to get. Your Pavillion should be fine as long as you have a free PCI Express slot and an unused slot below that.

Will this work with Asus M5A97 Plus Motherboard?

This will work for that motherboard.  Although the motherboard only supports PCI Express 2.0 it will still work, it will just not work to it's full potential because it is designed to work with PCI Express 3.0.  But yes it will work.

Will this card work with a Dell Inc 0YJPT1 Motherboard?

Your Motherboard has the correct expansion slot for it.  What you will want to do is open the case up and take some measurements to make sure you have the correct clearance.  You should be able to find the card dimensions in the Specifications tab.  I did notice that your motherboard is a Micro-ATX form factor.  That is why I recommend taking the measurements just to make sure.  This card is fairly small compared to most.  They also have ones that have a smaller cooling heatsink and fans on them that would fit in a smaller setup.  You may have to do a little shopping but I believe you should be able to get one to fit inside your rig.  I hope this helps.

What's the TDP of the item or the power required from the pcie?

A stock-clocked 750 Ti pulls 60 watts, which is a low enough draw that an external power supply connection is not required.  This card has a 4 or 5% overclock, so it will pull as much as 63 watts.  That's still within the limitations of the PCI Express connector on the motherboard, but manufacturers sometimes require a direct connection to the power supply anyway.  If the card has a connector for the power supply, it won't work without connecting it.  As far as how much power you need, the manufacturer specifies a 400 watt power supply, but that's ridiculous overkill.  The card pulls less than 70 watts.  The CPU in your system is most assuredly less than 130 watts.  The remainder of your components are pulling well below 50 watts, but let's assume 50 watts for argument's sake.  70 + 130 + 50 = 250 watts.  So a 300 watt power supply is more than adequate.  If you have a smaller power supply in the computer you're trying to add this to, you can do some work to see if the card will work for you.

does this card ,would work good with Acer gateway  Dx4831-05 ,window7 home premium 64-bit,  Intel core I5 procesor 650, 8 GB ddr3 memory, hard drive 1 TB hdd ?

The GTX 750 Ti is compatible with your Dx4831-05. The only concern I have is for your power supply. The GTX 750 Ti requires a 6-pin PCI-E connector to the power supply. The graphics card probably comes with a 4-pin molex to 6-pin PCI-E adapter, but even if it doesn't, they're inexpensive. I doubt your power supply has any available connectors, and it almost certainly doesn't have a 6-pin PCI-E connection. The OEM power supply has adequate margin on paper, but if you're upgrading your video card, consider upgrading your power supply as well. Get one in the 300 watt to 430 watt range, don't spend more than $35, and make sure it's a good brand name (can't list here due to policies).

Can this card do 2560 x 1080 resolution for a ultra wide monitor?

Yes, matroxgaming on YouTube did a video of Far Cry 4 in 2560 x 1080 resolution on the 2GB version of this card. It's a great card for the price. Gets about 40fps running GTAV on high in 1080p, 50-60fps on medium.

"Can this work in older computers?"  As long as the computer has a PCI Express slot and an adequate power supply, yes.  "Can this run upcoming titles good."  The GTX 750 Ti is often called an entry-level card by gamers, but it's really more of a mid-range card.  It will play all upcoming titles acceptably.  You may not be able to play them at high resolutions (1440P or greater) or with all settings maxed out, but you will be able to play them with acceptable resolution and screen rates at 1080P, possibly higher depending on the demands of the game.  "Is it worth it?"  The GTX 750 Ti is probably the best value card available from Nvidia from this series.  This particular card is priced higher than a similar 750 Ti I bought a year ago and I don't know why.  I strongly recommend you either find a less-expensive version of this card, or wait for the GTX 1050 coming in October and spend a little bit more then.

How well does it play with modern games and is it worth paying more for this 4gb version?

We are using it primarily with Guild Wars 2 , so no modern FPS here. However GW2 is pretty graphic intensive RPG with some huge world combat. The card does a respectable job for it's class. I would note, for the price, it was a solid upgrade from the previous Radeon we had in my wife's gaming rig, but t's a budget card. As for the 4GB and the OC  version - -yes, that's good. For any application memory is a boon. And I have found the Overclocking to be useful since these card run cool by comparison to AMD cards. That's one of the best things about them IMO.

I have the 2 GB version of this card and love it. I can't imagine why anyone would need 4 GB of video RAM. Who benefits from the added RAM?

So the difference is "opinion and experience" If you don't have issues, don't upgrade.  Yet, sometime in the future, there will be games and videos that will take up more memory space.  When you start to see lag time, then you might reconsider.. My opinion-I like having 2 year old latest tek... It's not too expensive and brings me up to most standards for gaming speeds and PC usage...  In the past 10 years, I've upgraded RAM and Vid cards because the games I wanted to play required it...  Not too mention the size of the installers.. My hard drive too has grown from 1 500g to 4 drives of 2 Tb each...

Can this compatible with the CybertronPC - Trooper-X68?

So after some short research on the Cybertron PC.  I would have to say not out of the box.  The reason is because this video card is recommended to use 400 watt power supply.  The cybertron PC only has a 350 watt PSU out of the box.  So if you upgrade your PSU at the same time I would say most likely then.  The other thing you want to check into that I could not find is if the motherboard supports the PCI-E 3.0.  There are PCI-E slots that are available on the motherboard that it should fit in and work.  I believe this card is also backwards compatible with PCI-E 2.0 as well so most likley if you upgrade the PSU it will work.  I hope this was helpful.  Good luck
