Do you know where I can find a bios update with the latest Intel RST and Intel Management Engine firmware? It seems like they just dumped this board on the market with no intent to support it.

Nothing from Gigabyte that I could find. There are ME firmware and driver downloads available on Intel’s website that address the latest security issues but I cannot determine if they are compatible with this MB so I have not attempted to use it. I checked the ME version on my MB using the Intel CSME Version Detection Tool and it is out of date. I have installed the latest RST and chipset drivers from Intel’s website without problems. I agree that Gigabyte is not properly supporting this MB with necessary bios/firmware updates.

processor selection. i am creating a list of parts as to buy all i need at once. but am unable to decided which processor to get. when looking at processor specs. i found the most powerful had 44 express lanes. but this board status that it only supports 128 gb ram with 44 lane proc's, and 256 gb with 48 lane processors. however no processor seemed to have 48 lanes. which makes me question if this is a typo, given the most powerful proc i found for this socket stated 44 express lanes. which proc(s) would support full 256 gb ram?
