What type of power supply do I need with this. will a RG530-S12 530W work? Or do I need to purchase a new power supply. If so what power supply will work?

Depends on your GPU. You can run this motherboard w/integrated graphics on a 450W. My 650W PSU went bad while building computer with this motherboard and its running fine on 450W.

Can anyone tell me if this motherboard comes with a cpu "Backplate" within the packaged box? please help with any info! Thx.

I now have two of these as I am updating systems in my home. Yes, both came with the CPU backplate on the bottom BUT I recommend you get a larger and better (4 or 6 heat pipes) CPU cooling unit and the better ones have a special CPU plate for them. I used the Intel Extreme Gaming Cooler Tower (it has 6 heat pipes) Heat Sink for i5-10600K i7-10700K i9-10900K up to 165W LED Screw-Mount-Type and have had no issues with CPU cooling even running DCS World flight sim on a 32" HD TV & Rift S VR. Bought this as a combo, corei7, Oloy 16 gb memory,650 watt power supply. System boots fine, no issues. When I try to load win 7 pro, it starts to load setup files but when it gets to "starting windows Screen" it just stops there, does not load. Tried different hard drive as I thought it was the issue, but does same thing. Any help?

If you use external video card and Windows freezes at the start, try to remove external video card and boot on the integrated. If it works, put back the external card, go to BIOS and play with memory timing multiplier. Usually, when you set to something like x16, it will boot fine when using external card
