Has anyone been able to use this on the NZXT X1 case with a riser cable or any riser cable? My Pc will not boot up when the PCI-E express slot has a graphics card connected to it using a riser cable

connect your display to the motherboard's HDMI/DP, go into bios and change it to PCI-E 3.0. Save and shut down, then switch the HDMI to your GPU. The reasoning is that the H1 (Im assuming you mean H1) only comes with a PCIE 3.0 riser cable and the bios is likely defaulting to PCIE 4.0, which wont boot

Some boards advertise being compatible with both ddr4 and ddr5 is it the same for this board?

Hello,
No boards are/will be compatible with both DDR4 and DDR5. The modules themselves have a different form factor and the power regulation on DDR4 is on the MOBO and on the module itself with DDR5. Their will be a lot of the the same model of board, one that supports DDR4 and one that supports DDR5, though.

Is this compatible with a PCIe 4.0 riser cable?

No. I tried using a 4.0 riser and it will not boot in 4.0 mode. Must be set to 3.0 regardless of card/riser.

Can anyone confirm compatibility with the Noctua UH-12S?

you will NOT be able to install the NVMe heatsink with that cooler. you can install the SSDs but the heatsink will not fit.

I'm having issues with this as well.  I can't get the board to output video through the gpu.  With the gpu installed, the board will output video from the cpu but it skips the bios during load.  So no way to choose external vga.  tonight I will uninstall the gpu and go into bios and 'diasble onboard video' then reinstall gpu.  hopefully that forces it to output through the card.
